Cornerboys
Cornerboys (2009) is my first collaboration with artist Ali LaRock and composer Kevin Smith. It was inspired by Christina Rosetti's Goblin Market, a line in a Tom Waits song, and the folk tale Little Red Riding Hood.
Cornerboys won Best Fantasy at the 2010 Fargo Fantastic Film Festival, and was runner-up for Best Animated Fantasy at the 2010 DragonCon Independent Film Festival.

The House of the Yaga
House of the Yaga (2011) was our second outing, and we had learned a lot. Inspired by (obvi) the Baba Yaga folk tales and the folk tales drawn from those (especially Hansel and Gretel), this explores my fascination with the idea that to defeat the monster you have to become it.
House of the Yaga won Best Animated Fantasy at the 2011 Fargo Fantastic Film Festival, and Best American Short Film at the 2012 Nevermore Horror Film Festival, and in 2019 became the inspiration for an escape room in Florence, SC.
